The Royal Caribbean WOW Band

The Royal Caribbean WOW Band is an innovative RFID-enabled wristband that offers a seamless experience for cruise guests. It basically replaces your SeaPass card while onboard; it serves as your onboard ID, room key, and wallet, making interactions effortless.

Additionally, it's designed to be stylish, lightweight, and water-resistant. The photo above shows you what a WOW Band looks like, both in terms of size and shape.

Where can I use the WOW Band?

You can use your WOW Band basically anywhere on the ship, where would use your Seapass card. You can use it to

• Unlock your stateroom door
• Make purchases at bars, onboard shops, and lounges
• Log into gaming machines in the casino, and to make charges to your room
• Access lounges (Suite guests and Crown & Anchor members)

We have used our WOW Bands to do all of these things.

You CANNOT use the WOW Band when leaving or boarding the ship. You MUST use your Seapass card.

How much does a WOW Band cost?

You can purchase a WOW band at Customer Services for $9.99. Star Class get complimentary Star Class branded WOW bands.

Your WOW Band belongs to you, so you can take it home after your cruise and use it another time.

Can I purchase a WOW band for my sailing?

As far as we know you CAN NOT purchase a WOW band before your sailing, unless you are able to get one off somewhere like eBay.

Which ships support WOW Bands?

Only newer ships with contactless Seapasses support WOW band. The Royal Caribbean ships that currently support WOW bands are.

Can I use a WOW band purchased on a previous cruise on my current sailing?

Yes, you can take your WOW band from one ship and use it on your current sailing, as long as the current ship supports the WOW band.

All you need to do is go to Guest Services, the Loyalty Ambassador or Conierge and they can reprogram it for you for your current sailing.

Return of the WOW Band (After Covid)

WOW bands became available again to purchase in early 2023, after having been unavailable after the return of cruising after Covid.

If you had a WOW band from before Covid, it was possible to have the band reprogrammed for the current sailing. It would depend on the person at Guest Services whether they would reprogram your band for you. Some staff members would reprogram the band for you, while others would say that they were no longer supported.

If one crew member refused to reprogram you WOW Band for you, we recommended you come back later or speak to another staff member.
